Important Notice
For Harley-Davidson vehicles equipped with factory security systems

Follow the TSSM (turn signal security module) battery disconnect, and service procedures. Failure to shut down the security mode properly for service can result in TSSM failure. To place the vehicle in service mode:

1. Approach the vehicle with the key fob at waist level.
2. Turn the run stop switch to run.
3. Turn on the key switch to ignition.
4. Wait until the key indicator light on the speedometer goes out.
5. Pull the maxi fuse (main fuse, large and orange on most vehicles).
6. Turn the key switch to off.

The vehicle may now be serviced in a normal manner. When the service work is completed, and before the key switch is turned to the ignition position, make sure that the fob is with you at waist level. The vehicle may now be switched on and the security system will resume normal operation.
